Content strategy and writing
Over the last 15+ years, I’ve interviewed fascinating experts and published thousands of words across the web and print. Here are a few of my favorite pieces.
Children’s Health - Physician marketing
Children’s Health is recognized as one of the country’s top children’s hospitals. Working as a content director at their agency of record, I served as both content marketing strategist and writer for their physician-facing blog and marketing channels.
I collaborated with physicians and their marketing team to create editorial calendars, then wrote the articles. These were shared on the hospital’s website, newsletter, and Doximity.
I interviewed so many amazing physicians about everything from constipation to gene therapy. It was interesting, rewarding work.

Children’s Health - Website overhaul
In addition to physician marketing, the agency team led a 2,000+ page overhaul of their consumer-facing website. We worked closely with the hospital’s digital and marketing teams and their SEO agency.
The work included:
Creating content templates and a voice/tone guide to ensure consistency across the entire site.
Partnering with internal teams and physician leaders to identify each department’s differentiators and what caregivers needed to know about their programs to make the best decisions.
Coordinating and performing interviews with hundreds of physicians, who provided the expert insights needed to create the best website content. No filler here.
Drafting content to meet the patterns and SEO guidelines, then reviewing it with the physicians and marketing teams.
While this was a huge team effort, here are a couple of the pages I personally wrote:

Content design and UX writing
For 5.5 years, I was a senior UX writer/content designer at Amazon in the Devices org. If you’ve ever interacted with an Echo Show, Fire TV, or Fire tablet device, you’ve seen my work.
I’m still getting my case studies from this time together, but here’s a brief overview of some of my favorite features and devices that I worked on:
Ambient Experience on Fire TV: As the sole UX writer on this huge project, I was responsible for creating content patterns and terminology, as well as writing feature education, 30+ new settings, and a whole of menu labels and error messages.
AI Art on Fire TV: If you’ve ever said, “Alexa, create a background of an alien environment made of Laffy Taffy” or something like that to your Fire TV, you’ve seen my work. I created first-time user education, partnered with design to create new flows, and worked with product on naming and terminology.
Echo Show device launches: I worked on the out-of-box experiences (OOBE), settings, feature setup, and more for Echo Show 10, 15, and 21. My fingerprints are all over those devices!
Echo Show settings update: This was a major improvement that shipped this spring. Echo Show’s original settings had turned into an unruly junk drawer. I partnered with research, product, and a fellow UX designer to totally rearchitect the IA, rewrite everything to be clear and concise, and organize everything in an intuitive way—not shipping the org chart. Very proud of this work.
