Hey, I’m Samantha

After 15+ years of working in PR, marketing, and UX, I’ve learned how to spot and tell a good story.

I’ve worked with so many interesting experts, from agronomists to cardiologists to business execs, who would tell me, “Oh, my work is boring! No one will care.” Or, “I have nothing to say.”

But once I’d start asking questions, their stories would just start flowing. And then it was my job to shape these experts’ insights into a narrative that served their audience and drove business.

Now I take everything I’ve learned about to teach solos and founders how to move away from generic content, differentiate from their competition, and share their expertise in a way that resonates with their audiences.

My approach

I move through four phases with my 1:1 clients:

First, a quick audit of your current messaging, what’s working, what’s not. Then, a deep dive on your audience. What do they read? Where do they hang out? What keeps them up at night? What excites them?

This phase is about really dialing in on your audiences’ wants and needs, so you’ll know where to focus and what content will really move the needle.

Understand your customers

Next, we mine your experience for the stories and insights that will position you as an expert and differentiate you from competitors.

This phase focuses on creating the themes and angles that will form your content strategy.

Bring your first drafts. In this phase, we’ll co-develop the work together.

I’ll bring my editor’s hat and roleplay as a reader to further refine your ideas, language, and craft. You’ll get encouragement and honest input.

Workshop together

Once you start publishing, we’ll look at insights and analytics and continue to refine your message.

Frequently asked questions

  • My coaching is designed to help experts, entrepreneurs, coaches, and consultants who want to develop original ideas and content. But really, if you’re working through ideas and producing content, this program is for you.

  • You don’t! For some, AI and editing tools are enough. That said, there’s nothing like working with another writer to help you improve your ideas and writing and bounce ideas off. Believe me. I know. I’ve often been the only writer on my team, and it can get lonely.

  • Nope! My career has included a wide range of writing, from blogs and social content to longform articles to product microcopy.

    And I’ve written for almost every reader type, from global users of Amazon devices to highly specialized experts like cardiologists. I’m pretty solid at being able to adjust a piece’s tone, voice, and terminology to the intended reader.

    TL;DR — I like variety in my work and want to help you with the mediums you need help with, not just LI posts.

  • Though I offer coaching input with an editorial eye, this is not developmental editing nor a copyedit. Instead, this will give you some solid input and recommendations related to your writing, whether you want to discuss concept, content, style, or grammar struggles.
